Ocean Literacy Guide and Handbook Request

Thank you for your interest in the Ocean Literacy Guide and/or A Handbook for Increasing Ocean Literacy: Tools for Educators and Ocean Literacy Advocates. 

  • The Ocean Literacy Guide describes the 7 most important ideas, or Essential Principles, about the ocean that all people of our water planet should have the opportunity to learn and understand.  Hard copies are in an 18.5” x 17” 6-fold poster format.  The Guide is available in English and Spanish.
  • A Handbook for Increasing Ocean Literacy: Tools for Educators and Ocean Literacy Advocates was developed by the National Marine Educators Association, with the support of NOAA, to help educators and other ocean advocates teach, learn, and communicate about the ocean.  It is a 70-page, spiral bound 9”x11” manual with multiple pages the expand to 16” wide.

While the guide and handbook are FREE, shipping and handling rates apply.
